International inland ports need reliable container-handling equipment that can support rail logistics, truck transfer and yard stacking without creating bottlenecks at the crane block.
Henan Mine Crane supplied a customized rail-mounted container gantry crane to the Dongfanghong (Luoyang) International Inland Port. According to the original project report, the crane uses variable-frequency speed control, a Siemens PLC system, anti-sway control, a ring trolley hoisting mechanism and an interchangeable upper/lower-frame spreader arrangement.
An inland-port RMG has to combine heavy repetitive duty with accurate handling over rail tracks and container stacks. The project layout may include different handling positions and cargo requirements, making trolley arrangement and spreader flexibility important.
For procurement, the crane should be specified together with the block layout: rail tracks, truck lanes, stack width, lifting height, runway length, container sizes and expected throughput.
The Luoyang project uses full variable-frequency control and Siemens PLC for smooth crane motion and coordinated operating logic. Anti-sway control supports more accurate container handling by reducing oscillation during transfer.
A ring trolley is used as the hoisting mechanism to adapt to the project's complex lifting positions. The upper/lower-frame spreader structure enables spreader interchangeability so the inland port can respond to different handling requirements.
