Bridge crane installed inside an underground water-conservancy project for heavy unit lifting.
Underground pump stations and water-conservancy projects require cranes that can install large pump and motor units inside caverns with limited access. The crane must combine high capacity, synchronized lifting and dependable low-speed control while giving maintenance teams clear operating and fault information.
Henan Mine Crane supplied multiple bridge cranes including 125t units for a major national water-conservancy project. The cranes are used for underground pump-station unit installation and feature PLC + VFD communication control, multi-lifting-point synchronization, four-quadrant hoisting and integrated fault diagnostics.
Pump-station equipment is often installed below grade in shafts or underground caverns. Long lifting distances, restricted visibility and tight equipment interfaces increase the importance of smooth speed control and accurate positioning.
When a component is supported from several points, the crane must also keep lifting points balanced. A control and monitoring system should show position, operating signals, protective signals and fault status to help operators and maintenance teams manage the lift.
The referenced cranes use PLC + VFD communication control for smoother and more reliable operation. Multi-lifting-point synchronization automatically adjusts balance during heavy unit handling.
The hoisting mechanism uses four-quadrant operation, providing strong starting torque and high low-speed torque for controlled lifting and lowering.
An integrated fault-detection system displays 3D coordinates, operating signals, protection signals and fault signals in real time, with diagnosis, alarm, recording, printing and communication functions.
